Beartracks began as a trio in 2004 with Tom Venne, Julie Venne-Hogan and legendary dobro player Junior Barber. The vocal harmony of  siblings Tom and Julie, and Junior’s unique style on resonator guitar brought them wide acclaim throughout the North Country. When Junior retired in 2013, the group expanded to include fiddle and banjo, giving Beartracks a much more traditional bluegrass sound. The band is a popular feature at festivals and shows throughout the northeastern US and eastern Canada. Beartracks recently released their 6th studio album, The Other Side of the Tracks, a compilation of songs from different music genres performed in bluegrass style. Members are Tom, guitar and vocals, Julie, bass and vocals, Harry Ralph, fiddle and harmony vocals, and Steve Light, banjo and dobro.
