Hands-On at Whitcomb’s, Summer 2022: Tonics, Elixirs, and Teas
In this three-class series, learn the basic tools and skills needed to build your home apothecary, based on personal preference with the support of folk methods of medicine. Additional classes in Balms and Salves (July 30), and Tinctures and Floral Waters (August 27). Take one, two or all three classes.
In the Tonics, Elixirs, and Teas class, we’ll discuss the process of building tonics, health elixirs and mixing teas appropriate for you and your family. Complete instruction in the use of appropriate plant matter, building the right mixtures for common ailments, and a basic herb list for personal use will be presented. Participants will mix a personal tea blend on site for home use. Please bring a suitable container with lid, and pen/paper. Information packets will also be supplied.
Saturday, June 25 from 11am-12:30pm.
Ages 13+
Class fee including materials: $35; all three classes, $75.
