Hands On at Whitcomb’s: Small Birds Watercolor Workshops
Three workshop series: Saturdays, August 6, 13 and 20 from 10am-12:00pm
Small Birds Watercolor Sketching is for anyone who wants to learn how to sketch and paint birds in the studio. You’ll learn how to use watercolors through THREE hands-on, fun and engaging bird projects in three distinct classes. Each workshop was developed to prepare you for the next. You’ll gain valuable community art-making experiences with emphasis on knowledge and skill-building projects, discussions and painting demonstrations. Take one workshop or sign up for all three.
Adult class (18+)
Class fee: $40 for each workshop.
Materials fee: $30. Participants can bring their own materials rather than purchase the class kit. You will be emailed a materials list and the option to purchase a kit after you register.
Instructor: Bryan Briscoe — One of 6 siblings raised in a military family, primarily on the east coast, my art styles span from realism to abstraction. Subjects in my paintings that most resonate are inspired by my strong spiritual bond to people, nature, flora and fauna. Since 2008, I’ve been actively teaching community art classes and exhibiting original paintings and limited edition prints in local libraries, cooperative galleries, art fairs and festivals in Northern New York and Vermont.
