If you are wondering about how to write and tell a story that you have been wanting to share, if you have a story on the works or a finished story that might need a bit of polishing, this is the workshop for you. Nestor "the Boss" Gomez has won over sixty Moth storytelling slams and he has hosted storytelling workshops across the country.
In this workshop Nestor shares his insights on how to write and tell an engaging story. He shares his successful formula about how to mine for stories, the different ways that a story can be structured, and how to get to the heart of your story. You will also get tips on how to get ready for the stage and deal with performance anxiety. There will be time for a few volunteers to workshop a draft story and get feedback and suggestions from Nestor.
The workshop will take place in the afternoon at Whitcomb’s. At 7:30, Nestor will present a storytelling performance at the Grange.
Workshop fee: $15. Register in advance as workshop is limited to 15 participants.
More information on the evening performance is available HERE.
