With the c.1934 bridge replacement on Route 22 in Whallonsburg nearly complete, Essex Town Historian, Todd Goff presents historic images and maps depicting changes to the built environment near the Whallonsburg Grange over the past 180 years. He will also show how the Route 22 roadbed changed over time to follow its current path across town, and discuss changes to other historic bridges, stone culverts, and the railroad underpass and trestle in the hamlet. It gives a view into Whallonsburg’s past as a lively small town.
