Our annual concert with these fine downstaters who come up every year to play at the Grange! The Amalgamates are a duo with a repertoire that draws from folk, jazz, bluegrass, pop, and southern US fiddle traditions. Bassist Mark Murphy is a much-in-demand musician who has performed on the Nashville Network, A Prairie Home Companion, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Mandolin and banjo player Jeff Schmich founded The Brewflies and leads the instrumental group Wolfgang’s Revenge. They’ll be bringing some long-time friends to join them. Come out for a Midsummer Night of great sounds!
