In order to help keep our community healthy, we won’t be showing movies at the Grange this winter. Instead, the Home Together Winter Film Series has picked five movies you can watch anytime on your own at home and then join a REEL TALK via Zoom. You can listen to a provocative discussion about the film by a special guest and submit your own questions. We can be Home Together with great movies and lively speakers until we can be together in person in front of the big screen at the Grange again.

MANGROVE streams on Amazon Prime.
Based on true events, this is the vivid, impassioned story of West Indian Black immigrants in 1970s London who are relentlessly harassed by the institutional racism of the police. When a protest march leads to the arrest of the Mangrove Nine, their thrilling courtroom battle makes legal history. Directed by Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave), this timeless film about Black pain, joy, and triumph will linger long after the credits roll.
REEL TALK speaker: Andy Buchanan is a lecturer in American history at the University of Vermont, teaching courses in American and global history, and U.S. military history.
